The front section (padge A4) of Monday's Winnipeg Free Press carried an article entitled "Accessibility concerns at the legislature: Government eyes renovations to open wheelchair routes"

Here's the two lead paragraphs:

"Former member of Parliament Steven Fletcher might soon win a seat in the Manitoba legislature, but there's currently no way for the quadriplegic politician to get to the chairs inside the chamber.

The government is in the middle of a long-term plan to improve accessibility to the 96-year-old building and has made major improvements for visitors. But inside the chamber, not much has changed."

The article goes on the discuss the plans now in place to renovate the legislature after the April 19, 2016 election to more fully address current accessibiity deficits.
