CRTC Public Proceeding Deadline May 17

May 03, 2013

You may or may not be aware that CRTC has opened a public proceeding where anyone in Canada can participate publicly in English or French, ASL or LSQ. The deadline is May 17, 2013.

It is very exciting time! CRTC is now listening to us and focusing on the VRS in Canada issue!

Now, if you go to this link, https://services.crtc.gc.ca/pub/ListeInterventionList/Default-Defaut.aspx?en=2013-155&dt=c&Lang=e, you will notice that there are "few" comments on their website. We need to INCREASE this number, because of course there are not only hundreds but thousands of us out there in Canada! We need to SHOW the CRTC that VRS is important to us! We need MORE PARTICIPATIONS.

So we need MANY letters (mailed or faxed), or ONLINE comments, or VIDEO comments, going to the CRTC for Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-155. Before May 17, 2013.

And this includes not only from individuals but from all different Deaf organizations in Canada, and those that support the Deaf community.
