Open Letter to Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living
Nov 23, 2020
The second wave of the pandemic is on the verge of overburdening our province’s critical care system and it has been projected that the demand for lifesaving treatment may soon outweigh capacity. While this dark forecast is, of course, a concern to every Manitoban, for some the issue carries an even starker reality. For persons with disabilities, Manitoba’s overwhelmed healthcare system has triggered deep fear and concern over the Government of Manitoba’s silence surrounding Covid-19 critical care guidelines and triage protocols.
With the support of a dozen disability organizations, Barrier-Free has written an open letter to the Honourable Cameron Friesen, Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living.
