Letter of Complaint re: Accessible Child Care Submitted to Province

Feb 01, 2017

Parents who have experienced significant challenges in accessing child care services for their children with disabilities have sent a letter of complaint (Word / PDF) to the Department of Families. The letter of complaint, along with parent/guardian/caregiver signatures and letters of support, are also on file with the Manitoba Ombudsman.

The parents who sent the letter will be waiting on the Department of Families to respond but plan to make a formal complaint to the Ombudsman if there concerns are not addressed. In the interim, the parents are encouraging other concerned parents to contact their Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and tell them about their child care challenges.
