Workshop on Public Sector Accessibility Plans

Nov 02, 2015

Did you know that The Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA) requires that most large public sector organizations have developed multi-year accessibility plans by 2016?

Did you know that the AMA requires that these plans be developed in consultation with Manitoba’s disability communities?

In partnership with United Way of Winnipeg, Barrier-Free Manitoba will be co-hosting a workshop on November 20th to explore the roles that community-based disability agencies can play in ‘consulting’ with the public sector organizations.

1 pm to 4:30 pm
Friday, November 20, 2015
580 Main Street

Due to space constraints, first come, first served registration is limited to only one person per community-based agency (a waiting list will be kept of additional persons who wish to attend).

To register, please contact (and identify any accommodation needs) Tracy MacMillan by Thursday, November 12th.

Phone: 204.945.7613 / Email: Tracy.MacMillan@gov.mb.ca

So please register to attend without delay if this is of interest to you.

We would especially like to acknowledge the logistical assistance that is being provided by the Disability Issues Office in support of the workshop.
