[I] commend and fully endorse the progressive thinking and ambitions of the people of Manitoba in developing human rights legislation for people with disabilities. I am especially encouraged that Manitoba’s ambitions here may well be the beacon for our other provinces and Canada as a whole to show example of a much needed new respect for the interests of persons with disabilities in society.
