Now's Time to Walk (so to speak) the Talk

Feb 29, 2016

Important disability issues arise all the time. We are often outraged, and rightfully so. We make a fuss and sometimes things get better. More often than not, not much changes.

But once every four years, those who will control major decisions and resources that affect our lives ask for our votes. This is often the only time when these key power brokers show real interest in listening and responding to our concerns. It's the one time when politicians need something from us.

NOW is just such a time. The election is a mere 50 days away. Even better, we have helped organize the most robust disability election campaign (Disability Matters: Vote 2016) in Canadian history. And DMV2016 is on the move.

NOW is the time of our strength and the more who get involved and invest their time and skills in DMV2016, the stronger our voices and message will be.

By April 20th, this remarkable chance is GONE.

Thanks to those who are already involved in DMV2016. If you aren't involved, get to it and sign on TODAY at: www.disabilitymatters2016.ca

Yes, NOW is the time to walk the talk.

These 50 days won't come again for another 4 years. That's a long time to live with a missed opportunity. And it's way too long to live with problems that suddenly seem of less interest to politicians.
