Let CBS Know We Support Hiring Actors with Disabilities!

May 21, 2009

"The April 30 episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Episode 22: The Train Gone Dead) featured a full storyline about coroner Dr. Al Robbins, portrayed by actor and disability rights advocate Robert David Hall, who co-emceed AAPD's 2009 Leadership Gala with AAPD Board Vice Chair The Honorable Tony Coelho, as well as participated in last summer's National Forum on Disability Issues. The disability community supports CBS's positive portrayal of people with disabilities, and urges CBS and other television networks to feature more actors with disabilities and increase their storylines, in addition to increasing the employment of people with disabilities in front of and behind the camera. Let CBS know we support their hiring of actors with disabilities, and that we want to see more actors with disabilities on television!
